Egypt

Families gather during the Eid Al-Adha holiday for large feasts that often include traditional dishes like Fattah.

It is also very common in Egypt to visit the graves of deceased relatives to offer prayers and remember loved ones during the Eid holiday.

Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia holds the most significant tradition for Eid al-Adha which is the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca. '

Other traditions in Saudi Arabia include sacrificing animals and distributing the meat among family, friends, and the less fortunate.

Turkey

In Turkey, Eid al-Adha is known as Kurban Bayramı and it's marked by community prayers in open fields or large mosques.

The streets of Turkey usually bustles with activity, from animal markets to community celebrations.

India

Leading up to Eid al-Adha, a large livestock markets pop up where families can buy animals for sacrifice, and on the first day of Eid Muslims perform special Eid prayers at mosques and open grounds.

It is customary in India to wear new clothes for prayers and to visit friends and family, sharing food and gifts.
