REGISTRATION FOR THE 2024 HAJJ SEASON IN QATAR TO BEGIN ON THIS DATE

Registration for the 2024 Hajj season will begin on Sep. 20  at 8:00 a.m. for citizens and expats in Qatar.

People who want to register will be able to do so online at the website of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs. 

The registration period will end on Oct. 20, so people who want to avail this wonderful opportunity, keep an eye out for when the registration opens!

The Hajj quota allocated to Qatar by Saudi authorities is 4,400 for the 2024 Hajj season.

The Department of Hajj and Umrah decided to open registration for the 2024 Hajj season earlier this year to give Hajj tour operators enough time to make contracts with Saudi companies and other arrangements more efficiently.

The automated selection and approval process is expected to begin in November 2023.

Qatari candidates should not be less than 16 years old to apply for Hajj. 

One Qatari candidate is allowed to add five companions to his or her application.

Applicants from other GCC countries, residing in Qatar, should not be less than 18 years old and must have Qatari residence permits.

GCC nationals can only add one companion to their application.

Expats from other nationalities should be 40 years and above and should be residing in Qatar for not less than 10 years. These expats are only allowed to add one companion to their application.
